One solution to the question of extra non-cf metadata or multiple conventions in the same dataset is to use namespace prefixes, e.g. all cf metadata could be prefixed by `cf:`. That would give us things like ``` cf:standard_name cf:units acdd:geospatial_bounds ``` etc.
Obviously it's too late for such practices to be applied retroactively to existing files, but perhaps it would be useful going forward? -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
