Regarding the use of year zero in the proleptic_gregorian calendar, I understand now why @Dave-Allured proposed allowing this. One of the few places proleptic_gregorian is used is in [ISO-8601](https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601__;!!G2kpM7uM-TzIFchu!h14qSUaQcThPaEkzyYpLt7n_TmcxK8hplPAGNL719viq_vBEEx4l3WnPyBs7x6oeBmlKVzPkIOs$ ) which specifies that year 0 is 1 BC.
