Good morning, all,

I have a new computer (XP), new copy of Adobe Web Premium (CS4), new install of
CF8, and one big headache...

I just cannot get my connection to the ColdFusion testing server to work
properly. I know I'm doing something wrong, but have spent over four hours
online searching for answers, have tried them all (including installing IIS,
placed my files in Inetpub, which is where they are now). At least with this
solution, my link tests successfully, and I can display today's date (yea!)

HOWEVER, when I try to display a cfm page, a pop-up box tells me, ' This will
update the file on testing server', which I know is not right, and will cause
issues down the road.

I just don't know where to go from here, and am running out of time for a major
project that I cannot even get started. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thx
Donna
