I've set up Cold Fusion 4.5 Singer Server and Studio on my NT Workstation (service pack 4, I installed 5 then removed it thinking it might be part of the problem) I'm running IIS with no problem getting to http://127.0.0.1 localhost in IE 5.0 and Cold Fusion Administrator is working just fine. I upgraded to 4.5.1 supposedly to fix the problem: didn't work I created an ODBC data source, an Access database (2000), which is local on my machine. CF Administrator verified the datasource with no errors. Here's the problem: In CF Studio, I try to create the RDS server using localhost 127.0.0.1 which should then show me my ODBC verified database(s) -- it doesn't. CFusion Studio just freezes, or I get a message that the server can't be found. So I can't use the database because Studio can't see it. Anyone have any ideas? I can connect to a remote CF Server and see all the lovely database files. But not my localhost! I've also tried using the pc name instead of the local host ip address and using the actual ip address of my machine. I've searched the Allaire knowledge base and done pretty much everything suggested to no avail. Any ideas would be great --------------EF3E13293969446ED2F6F073 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Anyone who thinks they can help me with this, I greatly appreciate it.
I've set up Cold Fusion 4.5 Singer Server and Studio on my NT
Workstation (service pack 4, I installed 5 then removed it thinking it
might be part of the problem) I'm running IIS with no problem getting to
http://127.0.0.1 localhost in IE 5.0 and Cold Fusion Administrator is
working just fine. I upgraded to 4.5.1 supposedly to fix the problem: didn't work
I created an ODBC data source, an Access database (2000), which is local
on my machine.
