>>>I've installed Cold Fusion 4.5 Enterprise on a Windows 2000 Server and I
cannot test the installation. The server refuses to recognize
localhost/127.0.0.1. I've checked Microsoft's knowledgebase, Allaire's
knowledgebase, IIS newsgroups, etc., and no where can I find a satisfactory
answer to my problem. The one thing I did find was this seems to be a
somewhat common problem with Win2K and nobody, so far, knows what to do.
I'm on the verge of re-installing Win2K and starting all over. Any clues or
advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.<<<

I had problems with IIS and Win2k always challenging for a password for an
CF page. I never resolved the problem. Someone recommended running the
permissions wizard to straighten it out.

In the end I removed IIs all together and went to the Apache web server and
WS_FTP server for FTP. Along with ColdFusion this is a a great setup. Very
fast and very stable.
