Well, SQL Server has built in Query Runner, you can use that to execute your
SQL statements. As for determining your data types, weren't you aware of
them before you set up your DB?

I'd like to get a generalized solution, but would also like to hear how to
get that for SQL server.

Thanks

Pinkesh

Isn't this kind of a general question? I mean this is basic SQL and Database
knowledge?

What kind of db are you using?

Subject: getting datatype information for the columns in a query

Greetings,
How do I access the names of different columns in a CF query object?

How do I get information about their datatypes?

regards,
Pinkesh
