Then why not write your own application server? ;-) That's a really broad
question and without any requirements it's impossible to answer.
I will say however that it is infinitely easier to develop web applications
in ColdFusion and you can easily extend ColdFusion's capabilities by using
java, but that doesn't work the other way around. How's that for a reason.
