For the last 5 yars we have primarily been involved in creating and
maintaining applications in MS-Access and suport dozens of systems we have
created. We are now extending our applications to the web using Cold Fusion.
The current challenge is creating methodologies for shuttling information
between our web sites to our desktop applications.

In situations where clients have their own web servers this is obviously not
a problem but this is not practical in many cases so we use web hosting
services. It has also been suggested that we convert our applications to
100% web apps but this is usually not feasible. At the current time the only
choices I can see are constantly FTP'ing files back and forth (a nuisance)
and writing complex sychronization routines to email extract files back and
forth. If only I link (attach) my desktop Access directly to the tables on
the web.

Any suggestions? Any useful utilities?

Also Virtualscape / Hostcentric won't let us have RDS access for security
reasons. Anybody have suggestions on other hosting services?
