Yes they did, look under the terms and you see:

"Under the terms of the definitive merger agreement unanimously approved by
each company�s board of directors, Macromedia will acquire Allaire. "

Macromedia did not quire Allaire.  They two are merging and Jeremy Allaire
will be the CTO of Macromedia.  It's a great thing because this makes
ColdFusion all that more stable and permanent in the Server market.  The
only thing that I am worried of is JSP and ASP.NET.
