Hi I

Have been using OLEDB with Sql Server 7.0...had no problems setting it up
once the Sqloledb was registered...my platform was NT 4.0 NOT 2000.

Subject: SQLOLEDB Weirdness

7.0 SP2 instead of ODBC. But, we discovered the Cold Fusion wasn't
pooling/reusing connections, but instead was keeping the old connections
open and opening entirely new applications. We quickly reached the
connection limit (of 1000!) and the only recourse was to restart SQL Server
or Cold Fusion (actually, the recourse would have been to go back to ODBC,
but we didn't know what the heck was going on).

SQL Server 7.0 in Cold Fusion? We're running on Windows 2000 SP1 machines
using CF 4.5.1 SP1. I read and implemented Allaire's KB article about
registering the sqloledb components, but that didn't seem to help.

(if only to eek out more performance from our aging hardware).
