You mention you tried manually mapping the ISAPI mapping for CF - can you
confirm that it is pointing to:
CFInstDir\bin\iscf.dll, where CFInstDir is the directory that you installed
CF to?
When you installed CF did you tell it that your web server is IIS?
Have you re-installed SP6a after installing the option pack?
If all these things are correct then really your best option is a rebuild. I
know it will take some time, but often you can spend ages hunting down a
solution when a rebuild sorts it ;-) Also when you install the option pack,
only install the components necessary for your requirements - there is a ton
of stuff that you probably won't need for bog standard CF/SQL sites. Also
your install order should be NT, SP6a, option pack, SP6a, CF 4.51/CF4.51
sp2. Also have you considered using Ghost to image your drive after
installing NT and sp6a - that way you can revert back to a clean install in
about 10 minutes - saves a ton of grief!

Subject: Installation Problem
We have recently started running our own NT Server with the aim of
using it to run both O'Reilly WebBoard and Cold Fusion. We have
had a little NT training but we are still novices.
This is the history to date:
Installed NT Server
Installed Service Pack 6a
Installed Option Pack 4 (to enable multiple Web sites)
Installed O'Reilly WebBoard
so far so good although we were a little worried that local host /
127.0.0.1 no longer seemed to work. WebBoard is running on port
8080
The we tried installing Cold Fusion 4.51. No alarms were raised
during installation but when we try to access a *.cfm file (even one
that attemps no database access) we see the code of the file.
When we try to get to the CF Admin we are asked if we want to
download it... Clearly cfm files are not understood.
I tried manually mapping the cfm file extension using one of the help
docs on the Allaire site - they were not already mapped by the
installation which makes me worried about what else did not
happen. Manually mapping it did not help though - same error.
This might be a conflict between WebBoard and CF so we are are
about to strip the system back to just NT Server and try
SP6a->OP4->CF->WebBoard but this is a long process so before
we do that has anybody got any ideas?
