ok...well, I did a little digging and found someone who was having some 
problems 
(http://forums.allaire.com/coldfusion/messageview.cfm?catid=10&threadid=210138)

I switched the port to 8111 (as had been done by the install for this guy), 
and I got "Unable to contact the ColdFusion Management Server.". I switched 
it back to port 8110, and I at least get the "No data in the selected time 
period." error again. So..it apears that the Management Server is running. 
Now what?
