Try going to computer manager then DNS and right click and goto
configure my DNS server, tell it yes add a zone and don't intergrate with
Active directory make it a primary zone.  If not you have to Unistall DNS
and then reinstall it and tell it its not a root server. I have not used
Active directory with DNS.
    With NAT you can share your connection that way without using DHCP.  It
seems to work pretty well.  We use it with 4 T1 lines
