Most common cause of this problem is that the extension for the CF stub is not set up
in IIS.
Check to see if the extension for the CF dll stub is setup in IIS.
Open up IIS Manager
Then right click on the web site folder
Then select properties.
Then go to the "home directory" tab.
Then click on the "Configuration" button.
Ensure that you are on the "Mappings" tab of the window that just popped up.
Look for .cfm in the extensions list. If it is not, then add it.
Executable: C:\CFusion\bin\iscf.dll
Extension: .cfm (or any extenstion that you want, but then all pages containing
coldfusion must be names with that extension.)
then make sure script engine is checked.
Just to ensure that the settings are enabled, recycle the IIS service.
Then try and access a cf page.
Let us know if the mapping exists or if you need further suggestions.

even after applying the CF hotfixes, all the static HTML pages work just
fine, however the cfm pages will not render - returning error messages as
either 404-not found, or "You are not authorized to view this page"

All permissions are set correctly, and the CF service is running in the
services. It is as if CF is not seeing the CF GETS.

I know I must have missed something, does anyone have any ideas?
