Andrew, no I'm running the queries on certain pages not including application.cfm. And I'm using try/catch for all of my 'new' code so I don't think it's code related but.... what do I know. Thanks for the input, I may just start using client vars instead of session vars so I don't have to feel bad about cycling the service. -mark

If so, you may want to try a cftransaction tag around them and use some cftry/cfcatch blocks to see where things could be getting haywired. Other than that, I would start looking at what processes exactly are running out of control and taking up your processor time.
