Mark I also run Win2k Advanced Server and have installed all the patches, including URLScan. My machine is an IBM Intellistation XEON dual processor setup yes, the users are preceded by the machine name, but that has not made any changes in the administration console. I can still manager users and groups as before.
I host 11 web sites on this server, and an email server. I also have a second machine with a mirror copy and I always install the patches on that one first to give it a test ride, then apply it to the main production server. This meant that the Internet Guest Account couldn't be found, and when I added it again as is now <machine_name>\IUSR<machine_name>, I'm told IIS can't manage the password because it sees this as a non-local account! again, aaaarrrrgggghhhh I uninstalled the patch, no good. Anyone any other ideas about how to get my system back to the way it was?
