Subject: MX performance issues

Hi,

We're experiencing some serious performance issues on CF MX final and an
application that ran fine on CF4.5/CF5. Many templates are a factor 10
slower! This seriously bogs down the entire system.

I read on the regular forum that the RC1 had issues with context
switching.
If you'd use a cfoutput within a cfloop this would cause a serious
performance degradation. Obviously, putting the cfoutput around the
cfloop
is a disastrous solution, because it generates tons of whitespace, which
in
turn leads to client side problems. I feel these issues weren't resolved
on
the final release.

Could someone enlighten me on the specific point of attention with
regards
to tune a cf4.5 aplication on CF MX. I'm looking for particular
performance
killers that are common place in CF4.5 based code but are now a
definitive
nono. I'm not looking for things like 'use CFCs'. I want to remain
downward
compatible.

Kind regards,

Marc Schipperheyn
