The registry storage killer is called : CFX_KillClient v1.1

You can find it at: http://www.fusionauthority.com/  somewhere on the 
site. You can probably find it too at macromedia developers section.

I've run the registry as storage for quite a while then had to 
switch. It just got too big. Never had a problem with it however. 

I now use the Access DB for this. Just replace it every now and then 
with a new one as the DB gets rather large as well.
