Is the cfm template that runs the task in a virtual directory or a directory outside the webroot?

I have A scheduled task set up to run "Recurring Daily at 00:02:00." All it is doing is generating a static html page from a cfm template. When I test the scheduled task, it runs just fine and the generated file is produced and all is well. When I check my logs at a later date, I find that that scheduled event is NOT running on schedule. I was not able to find anything in Macromedia's Knowledge Base on this in CF5. Any ideas/suggestions/questions?
