We found MX to be faster (I assume due to pre-compilation), as you say

YMMV depending on what your sites do.

There are some changes (noteable in stored procedures that return result
sets).
MX comes with a code analyzer in the CF administrator - download a demo /
developer edition and run it over your code.

Yes, afaik (we're not on Windows).

MM have a supported platform list on their web site. I doubt 2K3 is
supported
