Hey Kevin,

The first thing I'd try is installing the COM Object Hot Fix for MX.  You
can grab it here.

(about half way down from memory)

They haven't really publicised it at all, but it is a major fix.

Cheers,

  Hello, I am getting the following error when I try to connect to word
using CreateObject.  We've tried everything, including making sure CFMX had
the right to access desktop applications. Here is what we are running.

  CFMX 6.1 on a Windows 2000 Server

  An exception occurred when instantiating a Com object.
  The cause of this exception was that: AutomationException: 0x80040154 -
Class not registered.

  The error occurred in D:\WWW\cfse\testcom.cfm: line 2

  1 : <CFSCRIPT>
  2 : myAPP = CreateObject("COM", "Word.Application");
  3 : </CFSCRIPT>
  4 : <CFDUMP VAR="#myAPP#">

  I would appreciate any help you can give me, thanks, Kevin
