This is how I did it and it was quite awile ago so I don't think we were on MX.
<cfmail to="#form.recipientemail#" from='[EMAIL PROTECTED]' server="mydomain.com" username="bob" password="wanda" subject="Message for you"> On some servers, the domain name in the email used to send the mail needs to be hosted on the same server you are using in the tag.
