All I can tell you is that the CF 5 installer doesn't recognize IIS 6, which
shouldn't be too surprising.

In that case, I'd recommend that you use Standard or Web Edition for both,
rather than Enterprise. Why give Microsoft more money for something you
don't need?

I strongly suspect that these problems have nothing to do with the version
of Windows Server 2003 you're running, and everything to do with how each
server is configured. In my experience so far, there has been no difference
between any of these versions with regard to running CF applications with
IIS 6.
