Unfortunately, there isn't much documentation on how to do this any more.

This doesn't use the regular CF web server configuration utility to connect
one machine to another, though.

Normally, you do this by installing CF on both servers, turning off the CF
services on the web server, running the web server configuration tool on the
web server, and selecting the other server. However, by default, the other
server won't show up there, so you'll need to edit configuration files to
make it show up:

It's been a while since I've done this, but if I recall correctly, the
static files should go on the web server, while the CF files would go on the
CF server. Typically, though, people would just put all the files on both
servers - there's no serious security problem with doing this, usually.
