I've always had good luck with authorize.net as well. They offer a variety
of connection APIs for your ecom / web application that are written in
various languages.

Personally I would use Authorize.net if you can.  Linkpoint has a weekly
downtime period on Sunday Nights which means I have to turn off on
processing in our store before I go to bed on Sundays.  Just the the thing I
want  to remember on the weekends.
