I'm running Fusion Reactor now, and there hasn't been a single pause in 15 hours or so.
However, I've got a theory... If CFMX runs out of memory on the heap and need to allocate some, what does it do? It is possible that our CFMX is hitting the Xmx limit, and then everything just stops and waits until some memory is cleared by the GC? That would explain the tiny bursts of activity every minute... the minor GC passes freeing up just enough memory to process a handful of templates before memory runs out again. I suppose that the world becomes unfrozen when a major GC pass occurs. I always thought that if CF ran out of memory it would restart or throw OutofMemory errors or something... But is it possible that under CFMX6.1/linux/Jrockit that CF just chills out while it waits for some memory to come free? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Server/message.cfm/messageid:6165 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Server/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.10
