It depends on the host. Godaddy is not the most knowledgable CF host out there, but one does tend to get what one pays for with CF hosts). With some hosts you have internet portals where you can control basic aspects of your CF site such as creating DSNs, ect. Others you would make routine customer support requests to have them do this for you. GoDaddy has a portal, but you are basically on your own learning and using it. The initial customer support has no knowledge of the ColdFusion aspects of their products. If you press, they will transfer you up to a CF technician and then one tends to get better information. I use Go Daddy for my personal site and have figured their system out sufficiently for that purpose. But for my real personal project I go with cf dynamics, I find them much more knowledgeable and helpful, but then it costs 5x the price. ($25/month vs $5/month). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Get involved in the latest ColdFusion discussions, product development sharing, and articles on the Adobe Labs wiki. http://labs/adobe.com/wiki/index.php/ColdFusion_8 Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Server/message.cfm/messageid:6447 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Server/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.10
