It is your choice to take umbrage at the friendly advice. It is your choice to not follow the advice. But realize that many of us use readers that thread the topics. The fact the you not only posted to another thread, you did not even change the subject. That can effectively limit how many people may see your question because viewers may have decided they are uninterested in the original topic and thus not check out any new posts under it. If that does not bother you, then so be it. But personally, when I have a problem, I like to make sure that as many members of the community can see my question and understand as quickly as possible what it is about. That is my choice.
