I personally believe that fusebox is highly flexable. For instance you can
create a folder for queries and only have to write some queries only once.
(I.E. getting all the records from a table). Then all you have to do is
cfinclude them into your file. It also allows for a lot of other portions of
your coding to be reused, not only in the current project, but other ones
down the line. Things like blocks of code that do validation, kind of like
custom tags, that way you don't have to code things twice, kind of like a
library of sorts.
I also find that it is easier to track down bugs and fix them. Not to
mention that if you have 10 developers with ten different styles of writing
code things can get real messy fast even if they are familiar with each
other's coding style. That's where a standard can really come into play.
Also someone else coming into the project half way through, if they are
familiar with fusebox; which anyone doing CF worth their money should be,
can sit down and jump right in. (I don't think that was a sentence.)
I've also done work on office's with CAD systems, and the ones with
standards usually get more done in less time.
My 2 cents.

Subject: Fusebox or not Fusebox that is the question...
We are building a web site and before we get to advanced we like to use the
Fusebox standard.
This is going to be a sophisticated web site with Internet and Intranet. As
much as 10 developers could be on such project.
I like to have the pulse of what people on this list think about using
Fusebox on large projects and how it can really improve the coding process
and at the same time be performant and flexible.
Thank you very much,
