The thread was valid as it was not really about pdf files but more of a 'how
to secure/deliver a file type within a ColdFusion Application'.

The list is there to help people write CF applications and in many ways to
teach those who are new to CF ways of improving their application
design/development skills.

I do not want to see people apologizing for posting a question which
although would help them complete a better CF application, is not
specifically related to a CF problem. The subject matter of the post is
usually spot-on, and if the subject matter does not interest you then you
always have the delete key.

It is better to ask a stupid question now and get given a solution rather
than spend weeks exploring a number of possibilities when you may be going
at the solution in completely the wrong way.

There are a large number of experienced and inexperienced people doing CF.
Recognize that this group is there to help all levels of ability.
