Hey Everyone, We are creating a very search intensive website (on content all indexed from a database) and will have to have more than one search server. Overall, with only having dabbled in Verity, but having read every message from the forums that had the word 'Verity' in it, it seems to be severly crippled, and a three year old product at that. Verity's website doesn't say a lot about CF, and it doesn't seem to have a successor product to Search97 that CF uses. Verity issues: Limited Docs Old Questions on # of docs ceiling in database Performance degradation when collection is updated on the fly Default search is 'or' instead of 'and' Clustering? We are experimenting with SQL server fulltext search, and everyone who has posted to usenet seems to think that it is really good, very fast, but a little young (maybe more mature than Search97). It should cluster using either a router or the MSCS software clustering, which I haven't tested yet. Does anyone have any experience clustering verity?
