Sure, but, I am not 100% sure that's what resolved the issue. Also, I would
actually like to compare my registry settings with some of yours because
mine seem a little fishy. Here's an excert to a post I made in the forums
the other day (below):

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------
In the InstallData hive, I have ColdfusionMX and Coldfusion Patch. The MX
directory contains a few CFMX keys. I noticed that the wwwRootDir was wrong
and so was the WebRoot. I updated these (Though, this has not solved my
inability to select a site wide error template) .

After rebooting the CFMX service IS starting up without errors.

One thing that I find strange about my registry settings is that there is
basically nothing in the currentversion hive, only the /Clients/ Hive which
contains the admin client data. All of the CFMX keys are in the
InstallData/ColdFusion MX/ Hive. And, in the InstallData/Cold Fusion Patch/
Directory are a bunch of settings from my CF4.5.2 installation. Is this the
same as what you guys have in your registry?
