Alphabetized or grouped by functionality? Original code examples along with reference? Those two criteria usually end up being the determining factor on whether or not I keep the book on my desk at work, or on my bookshelf at home.
The reference manuals are perfect for when I need to know the exact syntax, so alphabetical is good there.
