Really?

I called Macromedia yesterday because we didn't ever receive our CD and
Manual for CFMX - they said they'd send out the CD but that we'd have to
pay for the documentation ... And we had a 2 year subscription as well.
Did you have to pay for your documentation?

We have a CF Pro licence with 2 years maintenance subscription. When we
received the upgrade info to get CFMX, during the online
registration/download process, MM asked us if we wanted to receive for
free the CFMX documentation.

It arrived something like 1 month later.

There is 6 books (with the nice new coldfusion blue cover) :
- CFML quick reference brochure (28 pages),
- Installing Coldfusion MX (36 pages),
- Migrating CF5 Applications (34 pages),
- Administering Coldfusion MX (60 pages),
- Getting Started building Coldfusion MX applications (144 pages),
- Using Server-side ActionScript in Coldfusion MX (36 pages).

If you bought the Studio MX, you'll also get one big orange manual (388
pages).

Thanks Sam.

I haven't registered it yet, but I'll try to do it today or tomorrow and
see if they offer the copies.

When you register CFMX MM will also offer to send you copies for free.
Within the administrator is a link to the registration site.

Did the above today. But the books haven't arrived yet......

Cheers,

Sam

> Ummmmm.....in case you_didn't_look, the document is 758 pages. Our
printers often hang up, so sometimes printing a 20 page document is a
challenge. The main reason for having the hardcopy is that I don't like
to go through huge manuals online. I'd rather deal with the book (that
USED to come with CF for free!).
