This is where it gets better, I'm told it was written in BASIC,,,not VB but
BASIC.  There reason is our dev time is greater then the purchase and
customization of the CGI App.  We're 1/3 of the way in replacing the current
CF app with a well designed & documented system.  I'm looking for a
comparison chart or just info that on CF versus CGI.  I believe that CF is
much better choice for speed of new dev and debugging.  Can you help me list
some things that I can list for the managers that will either prove or
disprove what I'm saying.

A well designed CGI is better than a poorly designed CF app.
You can do a google search for CGI inefficiencies. I would suggest you
scrap the Sun box and put it on Linux for the cost of the hardware.
Is Informix optional, is there 4GL code invovled?
