I will heartily second the jEdit recommendation. Because it's Java-based, it works on many platforms. I use the same IDE at work (Windows 2k) as I do at home (TiPB). Plus, it has more source code editing features than CF Studio or any other text editor I've seen.
I never got into BBEdit, but everyone I've ever known that uses it absolutely swears by it.
