I've heard some people around here mention jEdit (and I know that I'm a big fan of the open-source editor).
Joshua Miller and Juandres Alvarez have started working on getting jEdit more like CF Studio and they've got a preliminary web site up towards that end. http://www.joshuasmiller.com/jedit/index.cfm It's got Clipper libraries (extremely handy), several macros (some of which I was planning on writing myself because I missed the Studio functionality), and general feature comparisons. I'd like to commend them on their first efforts towards this. I, for one, appreciate it.
