Thanks Bill, I appreciate your posting this to the list. Let me take this opportunity to extend an invitation to anyone using JEdit with ColdFusion to contribute their findings, advice, screenshots, macros, etc. to the FAQ. Email me any resources you may have - and enhancements to ones you see on the site - I'll get them online as quickly as possible.
Also, if anyone sees anything that looks out of line in the HomeSite feature comparison please let me know. I want to present this as unbiased as possible. I'm of the opinion that if you use Windows and the majority of your time is spent writing CFML that you stick with HomeSite as long as Macromedia keeps it alive - every dollar they make helps push ColdFusion. That said, if you use Linux, Unix, Mac or OS/2, if your employer won't spring for HomeSite, if you want something free to use at home, or if you're doing any JAVA programming, take a serious look at JEdit. Juandres is translating the site into Spanish and we're discussing moving it to Wiki so everyone can contribute as they wish. If we do go with Wiki, I'll make the current FAQ redirect to the new location. Thanks again Bill, I appreciate your comments and I'm sure Juandres does as well.
