Has anyone noticed any recent problems / issues with CF's built in Verity engine? As of mid afternoon today, I can no longer perform a CFINDEX on a collection. I can still do a CFCOLLECTION delete and create with no problem, but the indexing (all done at an ISP) sits there. Normally the indexing of the MS Access DB takes about 1-1/2 minutes to complete. I've not changed any code, and we've been using this same routine, day in and day out for about 7 months now.
The CFIndex has an exclusive lock around it and does not time out. On a related subject, what are good alternatives to Verity? I know about SQL 2000 and Oracle, any others that I can hard code into my site (I'm indexing a database exclusively, no text files).
