That aside, I don't think the parentheses are your problem.
What I often do when I have a problem like this one (a syntax error in
the SQL that I can't figure out) is to produce the query... ie..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|
