The logic goes something like... Macromedia has a fixed amount of
resources to work on its products. If the number of products increases
then naturally the amount of resources applied to a single product must
go down.

Of course Macromedia doesn't actually have a fixed amount of resources;
they have a decreasing amount of resources as they have been laying
people off.
