I disagree - but to be honest, I don't think I'll convince you

You are completely misunderstanding me. It is a fact that if you output
directly from the method, you can't use it in Flash or a WS. This is a
limitation. It's not a bad limitation. It's just a limitation. If you
are using the CFC for HTML display, then this does not concern you. My
concern was to let people know about the limitation in case they were
building more general purpose CFCs. I see that being used more than
display type CFCs, but maybe you and I are just seeing different things.
