I helped test three different builds of Updater 2, each on five different servers of various configuration and horsepower, and never had a single problem with installation. We ran through all the code from our advanced training classes (hundreds of listings from lecture and exercises that show everything CFMX and SQL Server can possibly do), and we only found two obscure issues that were already slated for the next release. One was an easily correctible CFTRANSACTION tag formatting issue when explicitly specifying the Action attribute, and the other was an existing issue with some rather involved COM code, but nothing else.
As an aside to this, I just wanted to tell everyone how very dedicated Macromedia's engineers have been resolving these issues and to improving the CFMX product. Damon Cooper and his crew have a real passion for the product and its success, but they need dedicated help from us to complete the update/upgrade cycle, so please volunteer your own time and effort each time there is a call to beta test something for Macromedia. Really beat up on each build you test; feed it your toughest code and carefully record the details of any errors so Damon and crew can get a handle on them. Just my two cents' worth. Have a happy day, everybody! :) Respectfully, Adam Phillip Churvis Advanced Intensive ColdFusion MX Training http://www.ColdFusionTraining.com E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: 770-446-8866 Team Macromedia Volunteer for ColdFusion http://www.macromedia.com/support/forums/team_macromedia/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Townend" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, December 13, 2002 8:34 AM Subject: RE: Happy story with updater2? > Yep...
