You don't HAVE to put the query results into an array. Here's a
simple example:
<cfquery name="qTest"...>
SELECT * FROM users
</cfquery>
<cfoutput query="qTest">
Name: #name#<br>
</cfoutput>
If the query didn't have any results it just wouldn't run any output loops.
You can check by saying:
<cfif qTest.recordcount GT 0></cfif>
See? Much simpler than that goofy ASP. :-)
