I haven't done any useful load tests to address these questions, so you'll
have to take my comments with a grain of salt.

First, I seem to recall that some MM people here have indicated that, all
other things being equal, you'll see better performance with CFMX on JRun
than CFMX Enterprise on multi-processor boxes. Since this'll be a
high-demand app, it's probably going to be on a multi-processor box, I
imagine. Beyond that, I don't know if you'll see any difference unless you
actually start writing code within your app to take advantage of J2EE
functionality.

Second, I suspect that the differences between OS platforms are relatively
minimal, and outweighed by whatever expertise you or your client have with
one specific OS or another.
