Although version 4.0 will be out Real Soon Now(tm), it will be a far cry from a real cross the board competitor. unicode (rather important with CF MX and i18n) and subqueries are only due in 4.1, and triggers and stored procedures 'have to be done sometime' (which means version 5 at best). Views is even later as triggers and stored procedures. They are making progress, but they have an awfull long road ahead.
