Generator?  Wow, a little out of the loop... :D

Flash Remoting is the best answer.  Lots and lots of info on DesDev and in 
books and articles.  Basically, it's seamless integration, Flash calls 
methods of ColdFusion components and CF returns data back.  No worry about 
loadvars.  No XML.  Just get back ActionScript objects.
