Interesting... I mostly use SQL Server, sometimes Interbase (not with CF yet though) - I don't suppose you have any idea whether Interbase/Firebird supports partial indexes? Although, the other idea posted in this thread (using a flag and a dtModified field) is probably a better way to do it - not quite so clean though.
