here are some of the improvements in Java 1.4 that CF developers might be
interested in:

increases in JNI performance (if you use COM, Registry, Verity you should
see a big boost), Increased threading performance, 35% servlet performance
increase (CFM pages are run as servlets in CFMX), byte code to native code
compliation

I've been running CFMX on java 1.4.0 since last summer with no problems.
Recently upgraded to 1.4.1 and haven't seen anything bad there either.

Looks like clear sailing to me.
