Well, the pure Java version of CFMX for J2EE is app server independent 
(insofar as a J2EE application is ever app server independent!). With 
some of the app server specific versions of CFMX for J2EE you get 
native code components like Verity etc. Note that the "Phase II" pure 
Java version of CFMX for J2EE is relatively recent (and is the version 
available on the Mac - and a few of the other downloadable versions 
including, I think, IBM WebSphere 5 for AIX).
